Wedding
Poem
{Given with a laced handkerchief}
by Mimi Heitzmann
Tears
of Happiness.
Tears of Gloom.
Ladies need no reason;
A gentle love song or whimsical tune.
Even a sad movie,
Will inspire us to . . .
Let our emotions,
Just follow through.
Walks on the Beach,
With our special guy,
Keeping romance thrilling!
Oh! And with a loving sigh . . .
As you approach your Wedding Day,
This wish I share & give your way.
May your tears be mostly of happiness,
Of cheerful times, of soulfulness.
But when, from time to time you feel,
The need to shed a tear . . . that's sad & oh, so real.
Think not that the tears will last too long.
Only to rinse your mind . . . As a woman, you are strong.
As this delicate handkerchief,
It sometimes seems to be,
We women are perceived as lacy & so very frilly.
It's really not! As suddenly as emotions . . .
We need to hang in there,
To absorb the overpowering feelings,
In the relationships we share.
Best to you . . .
Shed a tear when you must . . .
In your strength, pretty lady
Always trust.
